Background Requirements

To support a safe and trusted environment, specific volunteer roles require completion of a background check. Background check requirements are determined by the role's nature and the level of youth interaction.

Trinity Educational Center, Inc. (TEC) is not classified as an Educational Institution because it is not a public or independent school in Vermont that provides elementary and/or secondary education. There are no background requirements. However, TEC will pay the $30.00 fee for the Vermont Criminal Convictions Records search, which is a quick process if interested.

Note:  Because we are a small nonprofit, please do not let the Grant Writer responsibilities deter you from volunteering. You will be equipped with every tool needed.
