Disaster can strike at any place and moment, and suffering is soon to follow. However, it doesn’t have to last forever. By being a shoulder to lean on, you can help your community plant the seeds of hope. Be the hero who answers the call; rather than let the phone ring.
Time Commitment:
On-call Availability, 2 shifts a month as time permits.
Responsibilities:
Responds within two hours when disaster happens, gives care and comfort to people suffering and in need.
Follows the directions of current team leader present on scene of the disaster.
Completes all required training within six months.
Attends required, regularly scheduled meetings.
Able to clearly communicate availability on a regular basis with coordinator.
Being able to execute and follow other responsibilities as they crop up; on-scene or otherwise.
