Make a difference for Vermont youth as a NAMI Vermont Ending the Silence presenter. Sharing knowledge about mental health and your lived experience can be empowering and will have a lasting impact on Vermont school communities.
What's the Opportunity?

Presenters can be volunteers or paid! See "What to Expect" to learn more.
Your presentations will have a positive impact on Vermont youths' mental health by educating and empowering middle and high school students, parents, and school staff.
You and another presenter will educate your audience about the symptoms and warning signs of mental health conditions, as well as where to turn for help.
NAMI Vermont's FREE Ending the Silence presentations are approximately 50 minutes long and have two presenters: one lead presenter delivering information, and one young adult sharing their recovery journey.
Who Can Be a Presenter?

Anyone who is stable in recovery from a mental health condition and ready to share their story to help others!
Presenters between the ages of 18 and 35 may fill the young adult role for Ending the Silence presentations.
What to Expect:
Meet other dedicated and empathetic people, just like you!
Feel great about providing valuable information to those who need it the most.
NAMI Vermont provides FREE online, self-paced training.
Attend a one-day in-person training to practice presenting in a supportive environment and ensure your comfort with the presentation format.
Optional: If desired, presenters can be paid $50 per presentation.
Commit to giving at least 2 presentations within a year of training.
