Who We Are

Mission: To bring together communities of families from affordable housing neighborhoods and pair them with college student mentors to help children achieve their dreams.

The DREAM Program Vermont is a nonprofit organization focused on empowering youth from under-resourced communities through mentorship, academic support, and recreational activities. By fostering long-term relationships between college student mentors and local youth, the program aims to help children and teenagers succeed academically, grow as individuals, and develop the skills they need to pursue higher education and future careers. DREAM provides a supportive environment where youth can explore new opportunities, build self-confidence, and gain access to resources that help them overcome barriers to success.

What We Do

DREAM connects college students and children, forming one-on-one and group mentoring relationships. We work with 7 colleges and 14 communities, as well as 15 school district through our peer-peer Guided Mentoring program, around VT; 4 colleges and 4 communities in Boston; and 4 colleges and 4 communities in Philadelphia. Local programs take regional and national trips and attend winter and summer camp sessions at DREAM’s Camp in Northern Vermont.
