Our mission is to positively impact the Burlington community by addressing the causes and consequences of substance misuse. Our vision is working together for a healthy community.
The Burlington Partnership for a Healthy Community (BPHC) is substance misuse prevention coalition in Burlington, Vermont. We collaborate with a network of partners and public health experts on initiatives that address the root causes of substance misuse. We take action to help imbed wellness into the community culture and create protections to help youth thrive.
Our work focuses on three main areas:
Community Prevention: We work on local strategies to reduce things contributing to substance misuse and increase things that support healthier, safer spaces for everyone.
Parent and Caregiver Support: Our ParentIN program offers parents and caregivers of adolescents in Burlington free tips, tools, and support to help children make healthy choices
Positive Youth Development: We inspire and empower Burlington youth to be leaders in supporting health in their community through education and programming.
