Who We Are
Mission: To improve the quality of life for individuals affected by brain injury by providing support, advocacy, education, and resources.
The Brain Injury Alliance of Vermont (BIAVT) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals affected by brain injury, along with their families and caregivers. It serves as a statewide resource, advocating for brain injury survivors and raising awareness about the prevention and impact of brain injuries. The organization is committed to ensuring that those affected by brain injuries have access to the services and support they need for rehabilitation, recovery, and reintegration into the community.
What We Do
The Brain Injury Alliance of Vermont (BIAVT) provides the following key services:
- Support Services: Offers support groups, information, and referrals for brain injury survivors and their families.
- Advocacy: Promotes policies that protect the rights and improve the care of brain injury survivors.
- Education: Conducts training and workshops on brain injury awareness for professionals and the public.
- Prevention: Raises awareness and promotes safety measures to prevent brain injuries.
- Resource and Referral Assistance: Helps individuals connect with healthcare, legal, and rehabilitation services.
