Who We Are

Mission: To build a stronger Northwest Vermont by mobilizing our community to improve people’s lives.

RSVP is a program of United Way of Northwest Vermont, whose mission is to expand opportunities for adult volunteers, age 55 and over, to improve people’s lives and our community. Through a personalized, one-to-one approach, RSVP helps people optimize the use of their experience, time and talents in rewarding volunteer opportunities that build the capacity of non-profit organizations to meet critical community needs.

What We Do

RSVP recruits, trains and supervises volunteers for our programs that address specific community needs in Education, Income and Health. We also partner with non-profit agencies that have good volunteer management practices, meet critical community needs and welcome the life experience, talents and expertise of RSVP volunteers. If you want to experience the rewards of volunteering, we can help find the right opportunity for you. To learn more about the wide array of volunteer opportunities available through RSVP, click on “Needs” at the top of this page. RSVP is a program of the Corporation for National & Community Service and is funded, in part, by federal, state and local grants.
