The Chittenden County Community Justice Center (CC CJC) uses restorative practices and community values to foster healing, accountability and repair for people impacted by, and responsible for, harm, conflict and crime in our county.
Founded to provide alternatives to traditional criminal justice processes, the CC CJC works to create a more equitable and compassionate approach to justice. By focusing on restorative practices, the center facilitates dialogue and understanding between individuals, families, and communities affected by crime, harm, or conflict. Through its programs and services, CC CJC seeks to reduce recidivism, empower individuals, and promote healing and reconciliation, creating safer and more resilient communities.
