Volunteer: Gardening Help Needed!Calling all "Green Thumbs" or people who just like to dig in the dirt! Every year, Ethan Allen Residence in Burlington fills the yards with beautiful vegetable and flower gardens. Our gardening residents enjoy the opportunity to continue to do something they love and everyone gets to enjoy the fruits of their labors! The flowers adorn our patios throughout the summer so that staff, residents and family members can enjoy the colors, smells and beauty. And our vegetables and herbs are used by our kitchen in meals for everyone, with some being sold by our residents at their annual vegetable stand to raise money for tickets to the Champlain Valley Fair. But, we need your help! We are looking for people to help prep the garden beds this spring, help maintain the beds this summer and help prep the beds for the winter months. Volunteer with your business and have a "Clean Up Day"! Volunteer with a friend to visit periodically through the summer! Volunteer on your own for just one day! Whatever you can give will be a help to us and to our residents. For more information, contact Sue Wirth, Life Enrichment Director, at Ethan Allen Residence at swirth@livingwellgroup.org or 908-347-2680.
