Provider is taught by a 3-person team: One Peer (individual living with a mental health condition) One family member of a Peer One mental health professional, who is also either a Peer or a family member of a Peer What to Expect: Meet other dedicated and empathetic people, just like you! This FREE one-day program is unique to NAMI Vermont and is designed for everyone: family, friends, community members, and individuals with mental health conditions. Each MIR Workshop is co-taught by two NAMI Vermont-trained teachers. Improve your community's knowledge about common mental health conditions, treatment options, what recovery can look like, evidence-based practices in Vermont, and what resources are available locally. Who Can Be a Teacher? Teachers must have attended and graduated from a MIR Workshop. Workshops are usually held on Saturdays. Register for an upcoming workshop here!
