Burlington Dismas House is seeking Thanksgiving Cooks at our East Allen St location in Winooski.
The Dismas mission is to reconcile former prisoners with their community, and the community with former prisoners. Committed to providing transitional housing for newly released prisoners, Dismas House has served hundreds of Vermont residents.
For the Thanksgiving Dinner, we ask that volunteers coordinate with the Assistant House Director, Justin, to make sure we can provide a fantastic meal for the house and guests. We are looking for a few individuals to help make this all happen and to sit down with us to enjoy the fruits of our collaborative labor!
Please contact Justin Adair at 802-655-0300, or justin@dismasofvt.org for more details.
Important Things to Note:
- All residents and staff are fully vaccinated, we also ask anyone planning to stay for dinner to provide their vaccination card and sign a waiver.
- Dismas has had no illness among our residents.
- Dismas is still following strict hygiene routines.
- Dismas will continuously monitor the risk of viral spread and will reduce restrictions, or "close" again, depending on changes in the level of risk in communities
