Volunteer: Grocery Packer or Driver

Help get groceries to neighbors who can't make it to our food shelves during open hours! We need help with packing their orders (1-2 hours) on Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning, as well as delivering orders every other week which could happen on a Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday. Delivery shifts would be about 2 hours, and volunteers must use their own vehicle/gas. Orders are packed in and picked up from our warehouse in Sheldon.

As a Feeding Champlain Valley volunteer, you’ll experience endless opportunities to learn, grow, and play a rewarding role in addressing hunger in your community. Volunteer opportunities occur Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. There are no options to volunteer outside of these hours.

Here are some of the things you could do as a volunteer:

Stock shelves, fridges, and freezers with fresh food for the Grocery Distribution Program Prep/serve breakfast & lunch for the Hot Meal Program Help clients sign-in to receive groceries Prep and/or deliver groceries to stay-at-home clients Pick up donations from our local grocery store partners Process bulk items into individual serving sizes Unload, weigh, and record food donations as they are delivered And so much more!

Note: You must be 18 years or older to volunteer.
