Cancer Patient Support Foundation

Who We Are

Mission: To provide financial assistance and support to cancer patients and their families in Vermont and Northern New York.

The Cancer Patient Support Foundation (CPSF) is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to making comprehensive services available to cancer patients and their families throughout Vermont and northern New York. Our vision is that all who face cancer can do so with dignity, confidence and serenity. Contributions to CPSF make possible a range of supportive services, including psychological and nutritional counseling, and educational programs. We also provide emergency funding for patients who find themselves in financial hardship due to their illness. Facing a cancer diagnosis can be a time of fear and anxiety. Patients often have many questions and difficult decisions to make. The creation of our nonprofit was inspired by the desire of cancer survivors and other dedicated members of the community to be an essential helping hand for patients and their families when facing cancer.

What We Do

Key Services and Programming include:

  1. Financial Assistance: CPSF offers direct financial support to cancer patients for non-medical needs, including transportation to treatment, lodging, utilities, and other essential living expenses during treatment.
  2. Support Services: The foundation provides resources and information to help patients navigate their cancer journey, connecting them with other local services and community resources.
  3. Fundraising and Awareness: CPSF raises funds through events and donations to continue providing assistance and to increase awareness of the financial challenges faced by cancer patients.
