Mission: To connect individuals seeking housing with those who have extra space, fostering mutually beneficial relationships that enhance well-being and community engagement.
HomeShare Vermont provides comprehensive screening and matching services to introduce together people looking for housing with those who have homes to share. Very often homeowners are elderly or have a disability and will reduce rent in exchange for help with household chores.
What We Do
HomeShare Vermont matches people looking for housing with those who have room in their homes to share. Each homesharing match is unique depending on the needs of those involved, To be successful, the needs of both parties must be met. We do extensive screening including reference and background checks. Since the program was founded in 1982, we have made thousands of successful intergenerational matches.
