ReSOURCE’s mission is to meet community and individual needs through (1) education and job skills training, (2) environmental stewardship, and (3) economic opportunities.
2016 marks ReSOURCE’s 25th year of operation, and since then our donation facilities have helped to divert over 15 thousand tons of material from the landfill. ReSOURCE salvages and sells household goods and building materials, refurbishes and recycles computers and large appliances, and upcycles reclaimed materials into art and gifts in our Waste-Not-Products shop. Our sales are reinvested into the community through our training programs and poverty relief initiatives. Over 1,600 trainees have been through our programming, which offers valuable, hands-on job skills, in addition to opportunities and resources to become gainfully employed. In our history we have donated over $1.5 million dollars’ worth of essential goods to over 13,000 families in need, through our Essential Goods Program.
There are many capacities in which a volunteer can serve at ReSOURCE, and we are always in need of helping hands! Last year alone over 300 individuals volunteered with us, giving 12,500 hours of time to our operations and mission.
