Who We Are

Mission: To create community around the equal access to the dignity of clean clothes.

The Christiansens purchased King Street Laundry (KSL) in April 2022, aiming to transform it into a dynamic community support hub. They sought to provide a safe and affordable space for laundry services while leveraging the laundromat’s unique role to offer additional support to patrons. This vision led to the establishment of VCWL as a 501(c)(3) public charity, enabling them to diversify funding sources and involve the community in planning and executing various social support initiatives.
