Mission: To be a place where every young Vermonter knows they are welcome, feels excited to attend, and is wholly supported to engage and expand their horizons.
The Governor’s Institutes of Vermont (GIV) is a nonprofit organization that offers immersive, hands-on educational experiences for high school students across Vermont. GIV focuses on fostering a sense of community, collaboration, and personal growth among students, while helping them discover their passions and potential career paths.
What We Do
The Governor’s Institutes of Vermont (GIV) provides high school students with specialized, hands-on educational experiences in areas such as science, technology, the arts, and public policy. The organization fosters leadership, creativity, and academic excellence by offering immersive summer programs that include mentorship, collaborative projects, and real-world applications. GIV’s goal is to inspire and empower Vermont’s youth, providing them with the skills, knowledge, and connections to pursue their passions and succeed in their future endeavors.
